I think you have the wrong tide chart. Looks like you looked it up for Wilmington Beach. The swim starts at Masonboro Inlet, which is north of Wilmington Beach. The tide chart for Mase. shows low on the 7th at 4:54 AM. Link to Chart:
http://www.mobilegeographics.com:81/cal ... /3631.html Add in the official sunrise last year was 7:31 AM and the predicted sunrise this year of 6:30 AM This puts start ~ 2 hours after the tide change unlike the ~ 3+ hours like last year. No doubt their will still be current helping. Will it be as strong as last year, ehh?? We could have a NE wind and completely cancel out the current advantage, or a S/SW wind that aides. That's the fun right?
